ITALIE: RICERCA E COOPERAZIONE
Established in 1985, in Italy, Ricerca e Cooperazione is an NGO involved in the
international
cooperation for development in favour of the global south. This NGO aims to protect and promote
the cultural and environmental heritage and to stand for fundamental rights, such as the right
to a decent life. In order to ensure this, the organization develops and implements long term
projects, based on country programmes developed on site with the participation of local partners
and institutions. Ricerca e Cooperazione also sensitise the civil society to the disparities
between north and south.
These past years, Ricerca e Cooperazione worked on projects in the next sectors:
- Sustainable tourism in the Mediterranean countries (Spain, Italy, Tunisia,
Lebanon);
- Livelihoods in Ghana (Improve the financial revenues of low income
families)
- Cultural heritage in the Mediterranean (Improvement of governance of
archaeological sites);
- Agroforestry in Ghana (Strengthening agroforestry in family farms to
enhance food security and
economic incomes).
