LIBAN: DEVELOPMENT FOR PEOPLE AND NATURE ASSOCIATION (DPNA)

Established in 2003, DPNA is a non-governmental independent, grassroots-led organization based in Lebanon which promotes sustainable development for people and place. DPNA vision is a non-violent democratic society where individuals enjoy all their rights and freedoms without discrimination. In order to do so, DPNA try to empower, mobilize, and enable citizens to change and meet the needs of the communities, as individuals and/or groups, specifically the marginalized communities in rural, bordered, and poverty areas, through human rights-based approach. DPNA works in collaboration with local, regional and international partners. DPNA action upholds some values such as: freedom; justice and equality; human solidarity; non-violence and transparency.

These past years, DPNA worked on projects in the next sectors:



  1. Numerous WaSH projects. (Water and hygiene)
  2. Distribution of food and hygiene kits for Syrian refugees and the Lebanese host community in difficulty.
  3. Numerous projects for the youth: summer camps, professional training centre Bussma
